Born into a distinguished lineage of blacksmiths in Sakai, Osaka. From his earliest years, he was raised amid the scent of iron, the flash of sparks, and the silent, weathered back of his father at the forge.

To carry on his father's legacy, he joined Yamatsuka Hamono Seisakusho. The grueling years of apprenticeship began — forging not only steel, but discipline into his very bones.

As mass-produced and imported blades — particularly from Germany — flooded the market, Yamatsuka Hamono Seisakusho stood as a vital pillar of Sakai's storied Aoki Hamono. Quietly, steadily, they continued to craft knives that met the demands of the age.
